Essentra Trading (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Essentra Plastic Products (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Essentra Precision Machinery Components (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Essentra Hengzhu Precision Components Co. Ltd., and Yisheng International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., which are Essentra entities established in the People's Republic of China (“China”) (collectively “Essentra China”, "We", "Us" and "Our", as appropriate in the context, and each an “Essentra China Entity”) are  committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (together with the Terms of the website use and other documents referred to in them) explains what personal data Essentra China collects from and about you when you contact us and vice versa.

 This privacy policy does not apply to personal data collected for purpose of employment, such as employees and job candidates. The personal data of our employees and candidates applying for permanent, temporary or contract employment positions at Essentra China are governed by Essentra China Employee Privacy Notice and Essentra China Candidate Privacy Notice.

1.Who We Are?

For more information about the Essentra brand and its business in China, please refer to the two official websites owned and operated by or on behalf of Essentra China, https://www.essentracomponents.cn/  and  https://www.essentrahengzhu.com . This Privacy Policy also applies to Essentra products and services, which we (or a service provider acting on our behalf) provide to you on third-party websites, platforms and applications based on your site usage information, unless the third party's product or service has its own Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. Any personal data provided to or collected by Each Essentra China Entity is the respective data controller (or “personal information handler”), as set out under the PRC Laws and Regulations on Personal Information Protection, of the personal data collected by such Essentra China Entity.

We reserve the right to change this Policy from time to time. The date shown at the start of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. If we make any changes to the Policy you will be notified of all changes through the website, so please check this webpage regularly for updates.



2.How we collect your personal data

We collect personal data through our contractual relationships, correspondence, your interactions with our websites and via social media, applications or other reasonable means, including, but is not limited to, the following:

  • When (1) you visit any of our websites, use your account or buy any of our products and services; (2) we invite you to events; (3) ask you to update the personal data we already hold on you; (4) we process business transactions or cooperation with our customer/supplier/business partner that you work for; (5) you request samples/products brochures or otherwise  communicate with us via telephone, online or through social media; (6) you open or use an account with us; (7) you request a call back, follow-up with a query, or wish to raise a concern with us; (8) you complete any surveys we send you; (9) you give permissions for third parties to share your personal data with us; (10) you use your phone number to call our customer service teams; (11) you visit and enter our premises , we may collect your name, contact number, email address, postal address, name of the company that you work for and position, and other data relevant to your work contacts.
  • When you visit any of our websites, we may also collect cookie data according to our Cookie Policy and your full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) to click-stream through and from our site; if you choose to create an account on our websites, we will also collect the account username and password.
  • When you visit our social media account, we may also collect your social media profiles, user ID and associated activities.
  • If you visit our premises, your images may be captured and collected by our surveillance cameras installed only for public security purposes.

 Please be aware that we will not actively collect any of your sensitive personal data or any personal data that are not listed above and please do not provide any sensitive personal data to us. If you voluntarily disclose any sensitive personal data or other personal data not listed above to us, we will not purposefully store or process such personal data, nor will we have any obligation to protect such personal data.

4. How we share, transfer and publicly disclose your personal data

We may share your personal data with any member of our Group, which means our affiliates, our ultimate holding company, and its subsidiaries, as detailed in the “How we globally transfer your personal data” section below.

We may share your personal data with selected third parties acting as entrusted processors that perform services or certain responsibilities on our behalf, including: (a) business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter with you; (b) advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others, so we can provide to you regarding new and modified products and services you have signed up to or requested or further to our research and development initiatives; (c) analytics and search engine providers that assist Us in the improvement and optimisation of our website; (d) credit reference agencies for assessing your credit score. We will ensure that any marketing communications will provide a simple method for you to opt-out or unsubscribe.

5.How we globally transfer your personal data

In principle, the personal data we collect and generate within China will be stored in China. As a multinational company, Essentra provides products or services for customers around the world. We may share your personal data (including, your name, contact number, email address, postal address, name of the company that you work for and position and other data relevant to your work contacts ) with oversea Essentra entities, through Essentra’s globally unified ERP system, CRM system and other internal communication systems, in order to integrate Essentra group’s global resources, and improve communication and disclosures relating to Essentra and its international business activities. In the meantime, our internal compliance system may also back up your personal data.
